Explosion Proof Annunciator Panel

Explosion Proof Annunciator Panel

In classified hazardous areas where process alarm annunciation is required at or near the point of measurement without routing signals back to a central control room an explosion proof annunciator panel provides safe, reliable, on-site alarm indication. Team Switchgear and Control LLC designs and manufactures ATEX and IECEx certified Ex d annunciator panels for Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas, providing first-out alarm identification, audible alert, acknowledgement, and reset functions from within a certified flameproof enclosure.

Explosion Proof Annunciator Panels in UAE Zone 1 First-Out Alarm Indication

Standard Annunciator Panel Features
• First-out alarm identification illuminated alarm windows show the first fault in a sequence without subsequent alarms masking it
• Audible alarm certified Ex d horn or buzzer, adjustable volume, rated for 85–105 dB at 1m
• Visual alarm individual backlit alarm windows with engraved or printed legend per alarm point
• Acknowledge pushbutton silences horn while alarm condition persists; window continues flashing until clear
• Reset pushbutton clears acknowledged alarms once the process condition returns to normal
• Lamp test single pushbutton test of all indicator lamps simultaneously
• Common fault and common alarm output relay contacts for DCS or remote panel interface
• Alarm input from certified Ex i loop-powered contacts or voltage-free contacts via Ex i barriers
Configuration Options
• 8, 16, 24, or 32-point annunciator windows per panel
• Custom window legend engraved stainless steel or UV-stable printed labels
• Single or dual compartment enclosures safe area electronics in one compartment, field terminals in another (Ex d/Ex e combination)
• Sequence of events recording (SER) timestamped alarm log output to RS485/Modbus for integration with DCS historian
• NAMUR input compatibility for direct connection from 2-wire NAMUR sensors without intermediate barrier

Can explosion proof annunciator panels interface directly with a DCS or SCADA system?

Yes. All our annunciator panels provide potential-free relay contacts for common alarm and common fault these can be wired to DCS digital inputs to provide a remote alarm indication at the control room. For more detailed integration, Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP output is available as an option, allowing individual alarm point status to be read by the DCS or SCADA historian with millisecond-resolution timestamping for sequence of events analysis.

What is the maximum number of alarm points for a single Ex annunciator panel?

Our standard range covers 8 to 32 alarm points in a single enclosure. For larger systems 64, 128, or more alarm points we design multi-enclosure systems with a common acknowledge/reset architecture and a master alarm output. We can also integrate the annunciator function into a larger Ex d or Ex p control panel where physical space on the same skid permits.
