Container & Electrical Room Climate Control Panels in UAE E-House & Switchroom Conditioning
Maintaining the correct temperature and humidity inside electrical containers, E-houses, switchrooms, and instrument enclosures is critical to the reliability of the electrical and electronic equipment housed within them. Excessive heat causes premature component failure and trips thermal protection devices; condensation causes insulation degradation and corrosion on busbars and terminals. Team Switchgear and Control LLC designs and manufactures custom climate control panels for containers, E-houses, and electrical rooms in the UAE managing HVAC units, anti-condensation heaters, ventilation fans, and environmental alarms for safe and reliable equipment operation in the Gulf’s extreme climate.
System Functions
- Temperature control thermostat or PID control of split AC or precision cooling units, with high and low temperature alarms
- Humidity control dehumidifier or dry air purge activation on high relative humidity detection
- Anti-condensation heater control electric heater activation on low temperature or high dew point to prevent condensation on switchgear
- Ventilation control exhaust fan activation for heat rejection and air changes in non-air-conditioned enclosures
- Dual HVAC unit control duty/standby with auto-changeover and runtime equalisation
- Remote monitoring 4-20mA temperature/humidity outputs and Modbus interface to SCADA or BMS
- Emergency shutdown automatic HVAC isolation on fire alarm signal from building FAS
Applications
- Oil & Gas E-houses and MCC containers on offshore platforms and onshore plants
- Electrical switchrooms in industrial facilities
- Telecom and data cabinet shelters in outdoor locations
- Generator rooms and UPS rooms
- Remote instrument enclosures in desert or coastal environments
We at Team Switchgear Dubai provide understand the requirement of Climate control containers which typically used to store either temperature sensitive or humidity sensitive equipments and materials. The Containers supplied are convenient, secure, spacious and durable.
What temperature should an electrical switchroom be maintained at in the UAE?
IEC 61439 and most switchgear manufacturer warranties specify ambient temperature inside the switchroom should not exceed 40°C. In practice, ADNOC and most UAE operator specifications require switchroom HVAC to maintain 20–25°C with a maximum of 35°C under HVAC failure conditions. Anti-condensation heaters maintain the dew point above the equipment surface temperature, typically activated below 15°C. We configure all setpoints to match the project specification and equipment manufacturer requirements.
Can you supply climate control for offshore containers with ATEX rated units?
Yes. For offshore containers adjacent to classified areas, we specify ATEX/IECEx rated temperature and humidity sensors, and ensure HVAC unit air inlets are positioned in non-classified areas. The climate control panel itself can be mounted in the non-hazardous interior of the E-house. We have experience with North Sea, Gulf, and GCC offshore specifications and can design to NORSOK, Shell DEP, or ADNOC offshore standards.
