A withdrawable MCC panel is a type of motor control center (MCC) that allows individual modules to be removed and replaced without having to disconnect power to the entire panel. This makes it easier to perform maintenance and repairs, and can also help to improve safety by reducing the risk of arc flash.

Withdrawable MCC panels typically have three compartments:

  • The horizontal busbar compartment is located at the back of the panel and houses the main busbars.
  • The function unit compartment is located in the front of the panel and houses the individual modules, such as motor starters, circuit breakers, and fuses.
  • The cable compartment is located on the right side of the panel and houses the cables that connect the modules to the equipment that they control.

The modules in a withdrawable MCC panel are typically mounted on slides that allow them to be easily withdrawn from the panel. This is done by using a hoist or crane to lift the module out of the panel. Once the module is removed, it can be replaced with a new or repaired module.

Withdrawable MCC panels are a common type of MCC in industrial and commercial settings. They offer a number of advantages over traditional MCC panels, including:

  • Improved safety: By allowing individual modules to be removed and replaced without having to disconnect power to the entire panel, withdrawable MCC panels can help to reduce the risk of arc flash.
  • Easier maintenance: Withdrawable MCC panels make it easier to perform maintenance and repairs on individual modules. This can help to improve the reliability of the MCC and reduce downtime.
  • Greater flexibility: Withdrawable MCC panels can be easily reconfigured to accommodate changes in the electrical system. This can help to save time and money in the long run.

If you are looking for a safe, reliable, and flexible MCC solution, a withdrawable MCC panel is a good option to consider.
