MCC Types We Manufacture

Withdrawable (Draw-out) MCC: Each functional unit (starter, feeder, metering module) is mounted on a draw-out cassette that can be removed and replaced under live busbar conditions without de-energising the entire MCC. The preferred format for Oil & Gas and continuous-process applications where planned maintenance cannot require full plant shutdown.

Fixed MCC: Cost-effective format where individual module withdrawal is not required. Used widely in HVAC, water treatment, and commercial building services. Modules are bolted in place and require the section to be isolated for maintenance.

Intelligent MCC (iMCC): Integration of Siemens SIRIUS ACT intelligent motor management units PROFIBUS or PROFINET communication, motor current, voltage, and energy monitoring per motor, remote start/stop and parameter setting from DCS. Standard offering for modern Oil & Gas and process automation projects.

What is the difference between Form 2 and Form 4 MCC?

Form separation refers to the degree of internal segregation within the MCC between busbars, functional units, and external conductors. Form 2 provides basic separation between the busbar and the functional units. Form 4 provides full internal segregation between every functional unit and between all functional units and the busbar meaning one module can be worked on or replaced while adjacent modules remain live. Form 4 is the standard for Oil & Gas and process applications where operational continuity is critical.

Can you supply a withdrawable MCC with intelligent motor management for SCADA integration?

Yes. We regularly supply withdrawable MCCs with Siemens SIRIUS ACT intelligent motor starters communicating over PROFIBUS DP or PROFINET. Each module provides real-time motor current, voltage, power, energy, and fault status data readable at the DCS or SCADA historian via the PLC gateway. This enables predictive maintenance strategies and reduces unplanned downtime. We supply the full engineering package including network architecture, address mapping, and SCADA tag list.
